Distribution of Pigs in Mukungu: An Initiative for the Well-being of the CED-Mukungu Cooperative and the Local Community

We are pleased to announce a recent activity that took place in Mukungu, in the Bubanza province. In line with the commitment made by the Executive Director of IPSDI Burundi, Mr. Moise Ntigirinzigo, we have acquired and distributed 12 female pigs to the members of the CED-Mukungu Cooperative.

This initiative aims to support and improve the living conditions of the cooperative members and the local community. By providing these female pigs, we hope not only to strengthen pig farming in the region but also to ensure that each cooperative member can benefit from tangible and sustainable support for their agricultural activities.

Pig farming is a crucial source of income and subsistence for many families in the region. By encouraging the reproduction and expansion of herds, we aspire for each household to own at least one livestock animal to raise, thereby contributing to food security and economic self-sufficiency for the community.

We express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Moise Ntigirinzigo for his dedication and continuous support for this cause. We also thank all community and cooperative members for their commitment and active participation in this initiative.

Together, we are working towards a better future for the Bubanza province and beyond. We invite you to follow our upcoming actions and join us in supporting similar projects aimed at improving the living conditions of rural communities in Burundi.
